Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly talks about eliminating the bio-bubble from the IPL. Ganguly said that bio-bubbles can be thrown if cases do not increase in India. The BCCI is hosting the IPL 2022 league stage of IPL 2022 in Maharashtra. Three stadiums in Mumbai and one in Pune are being used in this edition to restrict travel.
In an interview with News18, Ganguly said, “If the cases of Kovid in the country do not increase, then there may not be a need for bio-bubbles after IPL. But, we will have to wait and see how long they do.” Will find. Play a place. Covid is here to stay – it will be around for 10 years, so we have to live with it.”
Before Covid-19, the IPL followed a round-robin format, where all eight teams played 14 games – seven home and seven away. But with the inclusion of two news teams, it will be a tough task for the BCCI to design the format in such a way where teams play games at home and away. The former India captain also said that Covid is here to stay for almost 10 years and we have to live with it.
Eliminating Bio-Bubble could attract foreign players who are pulling out of cash-rich leagues due to Bio-Bubble fatigue.

Ganguly confident about the return of Kohli and Rohit
Ganguly also spoke about the form of Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma and former Royal Challengers captain Virat Kohli. The BCCI President feels that both the batsmen are great players and will be back in form soon.
“He is a great player and I am sure he will be back in form. I hope he starts scoring runs soon. I don’t know what is going through Virat Kohli’s mind but I am sure he Will regain his form and get some good runs. He is a great player,” Ganguly said.
Dhawan in fine form for Punjab IPL 2022
Scored 302 runs in eight matches at an average of 43.14 and strike rate of 132.45. In Punjab’s 11-run victory over Chennai Super Kings, Dhawan scored an unbeaten 88 off 59 balls and ran his bat throughout the innings to post a challenging 187/6 in a changed batting approach for his side.
“I call him the gun player because most of the accolades in this country have gone to Rohit and Virat, but this man has been a serious player between them when he is fit. He deserves all the accolades he is getting. He has scored 6000 runs. IPL. He reads the conditions (very well), sees what the pitch offers, understands what his role is and picks the right bowlers to hit,” Shastri told Star Sports. On said on cricket live show.
“Punjab Kings are the most explosive team in the powerplay this season and the reason behind this is Shikhar Dhawan’s batting. His approach in TATA IPL 2022 has been very simple, i.e. building his innings around Dhawan, who is looking to bat deep. While Dhawan continues to play his natural game, the rest of the batsmen are providing support and want to score aggressively in the death overs.
Former England captain Kevin Pietersen heaped praise on Dhawan, who became the second cricketer after Kohli to score 6000 runs in IPL history, saying he normalizes the best balls.
“The best player, no matter where you’re bowling (to him), normalize some great deliveries. It’s something that some of the best batsmen have, and he’s one of those guys. He has that (extra ) time, that skill and that conservative nature that doesn’t even seem like he’s hitting the ball hard.”
